About This Item
Aptos, CA: Grace Hoper Press. Fine. 1970. First Edition. Softcover. Original white wrappers printed in red, in recent brown cloth slipcase. One of 150 copies printed for the joint meeting of the Roxburghe and Zamorano Clubs in September, 1970, of John Steinbeck's burlesque "translation" into a language of his own creation of a non-existent "poem written to the Dnieper River by a great Ukrainian writer." A fine piece of nonsense, with an appropriately scholarly exegesis by the great James David Hart. (Goldstone & Payne A45) ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 14 pages .
