London: Secker & Warburg, 1979. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. Hardcover in slipcase. Limited numbered edition (this being #13) including a SIGNED and numbered original lithograph entitled "Foliate Head," an exuberant portrait suitable for framing. Book is in fine, As New condition, in a Fine slipcase with a small spot of glue on it. Maroon boards, top edge gilt; maroon slipcase, title in gilt. With color and black-and-white plates. Piper (1903-1982) is noted for his paintings, prints, opera and theater sets, and stained-glass windows. Small 4to. 224 pp. including list of illustrations and index.
