Garden City, New York: Doubleday, Doran & Company, 1931. Although this is not a stated First Edition, it has the First Issue point of incorrectly labeling Chapter 22 as Chapter 23 on Page 199. This delightfully whimsical work is a must for Morley admirers. The book is a bright, clean copy. It is bound in a woven green cloth, with titles in gilt against a forest green background with a gilt border. (Click on photo.) There is also top-edge green stain. The book is tightly bound, and the pages have no marks, stains, or tears. The free front endpaper has a light glue stain showing that a former owner's bookplate has been removed. The book measures 5 1/4 by 7 3/4 inches and includes 455 pages. . Hard Cover. Very Good+/No Dust Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
