They cover a wide range of topics, from the origins of Japan's samurai culture to the rise of the Qing dynasty in China. The lectures are dense and detailed, but are also lively and engaging. Synopsis

The volumes consist of a series of lectures regarding Berlin, Vienna, St. Petersburg, and Moscow.
