Oxford: Humphrey Milford, Oxford University Press, 1934. Limited Edition. Octavo. 68 pages, Limited to 350 copies. Frontispiece, 68 pages, Keat's worked in Guy's Hospital in 1815-1816 and became a certified practitioner. In Denise Gigante's Studies in Romanticism, she notes physiologists from the 18th and early 19th centuries recognized snuffing as a form of physical taste. Here Keats notes the intimate connection between those senses in peculiar structures as the toes & fingers which have papillae through which the sense of feeling--the papillar of the tongue are different from those of the digital members of the body. Bound in blue cloth, spine lettering gilt, previous owner's name scribbled out. A very good, clean copy.
