General age-toning to the edges and some light, eraseable pencil markings in the margins. Previous owner's name on the front free endpaper. SIGNED by Savona on the copyright page, below some printed text which reads: "Le copie non firmate se riteranno contraffatte." Appears to be an Italian-published, English-language text that describes the general history and culture of the UK and the US for the professional Italian audience. Interestingly, there is a Bartolomeo Savona who once sat for a portrait by Andre Derain, who Savona once helped as a translator. It's unclear whether this is the same individual. A curiosity.
