New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1924. Hardcover. Very Good/fair. Illustrated by by Thelma Gooch. The first of two books in the Joan series. Garis was one of the most prolific children's authors of the early 20th century. She also wrote for the Stratemeyer Syndicate including some of the earliest books in the Bobbsey Twins series. Book itself is clean and unmarked. The dustjacket is in fair condition with large pieces missing from the front panel, now protected in a Brodart cover.
