Czech Jewry has a 1000 year history. Arranged chronologically starting from what is known about 11th-12th century Jewish authors & rabbinical literature to Frank Kafka to contemporary writers such as Ivan Klima & Arnost Lustig. Includes information on some Czech Jewish women writers such as Rivka bat Meir Tiktiner and Lenka Prochazkova. Two pages are devoted to the theme and symbolism of the Golem. Published on the occasion of the Jerusalem International book Fair, May 7-11, 2001. Written & edited by Vladimir Suva. Translated by Iva Pekarkova.
