Small octavo, 624pp. Full black pebbled morocco, title in gilt on spine. All edges gilt. Stated "First American from the Last English Edition" on title page. Solid text block, worn corners and joints. Light soiling to endpapers, faint foxing throughout. Complete with six steel engravings, including a frontispiece portrait protected with tissue guard.
