THE HIGH LIFE AND HARD TIMES OF CHARLIE (YARDBIRD) PARKER. [NY]: Charterhouse Books, 1972. [8],254 ff. 13 by 8 1/4 inches (33 x 21.5 cm). Galley proof copies of each title: The text are printed on rectos only; and although the pages are numbered, so is each line on each page. Both volumes are Similarly bound in heavy-weight white paper wrappers, with title information taped to front cover, with a green plastic comb spine. The covers are soiled and worn. Texts have occasional notes/corrections in pen or pencil. Jazz Style has some additional papers with notes laid-in, a couple of which are on half-sheets of Kansas City Star stationery and the rest are on the back of a filming schedule for a documentary. (Although both books were released with photo illustrations, they are not included in these proof copies.) Very good overall. The price for both volumes:.
