With a glossary of Japanese terms. Bound in red cloth with gilt lettering on front cover and spine. Lower portion of rear cover superficially mottled. A 1935 typed letter from Yule to Grace Elizabeth Wickersham is tipped in on the front pastedown and free endpaper. Another letter, 1936, typed on Yule's Philippines Agricultural College letterhead, is tipped in to a subsequent page.
