Foreword by His Royal Highness The Duke of York. SIGNED by the AUTHOR on the inside of the front cover, and with a loose leaf, inserted, printed compliment slip from the author. A former owners' gold name and address sticker on the top of the half title page o/w internally NO Inscriptions or other marks. Illustrated in b/w. "Wallace Reid spent the last months of WWII serving in HMS Indomitable with the British Pacific Fleet and dedicates the lecture to the memory of Sub-Lieutenant (A) J. K. Haberfield RNZNVR who was shot down on January 1945 and murdered between August18 and 22 1945.
