Front hinge cracked and glued. Rear hinge cracked. Previous owner's name and address in very light pencil. No other writing. This book is one copy of a series, since three additional titles are shown on title page. Frontispiece and three additional illustrations. Poketown turns out to be a "do-nothing place", and "its beauty, for Janice Day, faded before she was halfway up the hill to her uncle's house."- p. 21. 308 pp..
