Red and black illustrated title page. Moderate staining to pages on occasion. Notable foxing and tanning to endpapers and page edges. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Some gutter cracking. Plate to rear paste down. Pages are rough cut. Final page of text torn and loose but still legible. Moderate wear and bumping to spine, board edges and corners, with splitting to spine ends and along joints. Notable sunning to spine and board edges, with scuffing, staining and marking to boards. Heavy water staining overall. Pronounced splits to joints. Book has a moderate forward lean.
