Original green cloth, gilt titling to the spine, top edge gilt. Light rubbing of the binding, foxing to the preliminary pages and the edges of the text block, prize bookplate to the front free endpaper; overall, this book is in good plus condition. The author's name is rendered as "Currer Bell" on the title page, but as "C Bronte" on the spine.

We are a medium-sized bookshop located in a small country town in the west of England. The shop is open for business from 1030 to 1700 Monday to Saturday. The building is a fifteenth-century former public house. We are still awaiting the day when we find a book older than the shop itself!
