About This Item

London: Edmund Ward, 1948. A first edition, first printing published by Edmund Ward in 1948. A near fine book without inscriptions - a little spotting to the prelims. In the scarce wrapper priced at 4/- as called for. A little wear to the spine tips and to the corners - a superb copy. Illustrated by Reginald Dalby, his first book in the series, who became the established illustrator of the series. This is the third in the series, made even more famous by the drummer in the Beatles
