Koln, Germany: Taschen, 2015. The Spectre Edition - revised and expanded to include text and photos dealing with release of the most recent Bond film, Spectre. Signed by actor George Lazenby, “George Lazenby 007,” who played James Bond in the 1969 motion picture adaptation of the Ian Fleming novel, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Laid in is an original color photograph of Lazenby with the book taken at the time of his signing. With a 24 page chapter about the making of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, including an interview conducted by Paul Duncan with George Lazenby, director Peter Hunt, actress Angela Scoular, writer Simon Raven, producers Cubby Broccoli and Dana Broccoli, and other crew members. Massive oversize oblong art book format, 624 pages. Illustrated throughout with film stills, set photos, posters, books, stunt stills, and more. Preface by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and introduction by Paul Duncan. With a 12 page profile of Ian Fleming (1908 - 1964), the author of the fourteen James Bond books, including biographical information, photos of the first editions of the books, and the complete text of Fleming’s Playboy interview from the December, 1964 issue. Fine copy without dust jacket as issued. A terrific tribute to the enduring legacy of the James Bond books and films which have thrilled and delighted readers and audiences the world over for more than fifty years.
