Very Good Book in Good + DJ. First U.S. edition with full number line 1 - 10. Ex-library with standard neat library stamp, pocket card to rear paste down. Not price clipped. DJ is scuffed, with closed tear to bottom rear. Edge wear, small tears at top of spine. Worn extremities. Foxing to white portions of cover illustration. This title is by Hugh Lewin, the anti-apartheid activist and author jailed for his participation in the African Resistance Movement. Lewin wrote of his experience in Bandiet, which won the Olive Schreiner Prize in 2003. Jafta's Mother is one of a series of children's books written before his death in 2019.
