About This Item
NY: Vantage Press. Very Good in Very Good Dust Jacket. 1953. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Jack's visit to Cherryville carries the young reader off to a wonderful land of cherry trees--and cherry pie...a robin policeman threatens Jack with arrest--an oriole footman, a rather bossy owl, and an easily offended duck offer interesting conversational tidbits--and a cat admits that he sometimes thinks--just for variety. An obliging little boy, Jack assists a badly groomed bumblebee by searching for a honeycomb to comb out its whiskers. Several of the birds--and the cat--have a way of breaking into catchy poetry. Ages 6-10. Red cloth boards, red and yellow DJ (moderate chipping and edgewear) in mylar book jacket cover. Brownie Scout bookplate on rear of DJ. ; 8vo - 8" to 9" tall; 39 pages; 14462 .
