Illustrated throughout with sepia lithographs, this is a lovely edition of this ballad from Richard Barham, published under his popular pseudonym, Thomas Ingoldsby.The amusing poem follows the story of a jackdaw who steals a cardinal's ring and is made a saint.Undated; dated c1889 via Jisc. In the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Marks and light spotting to rear wrap, otherwise externally excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean, with instances of spotting. Very Good Indeed
