About This Item
Philadelphia?: The Author?. Near Fine. 2010. Limited Edition; First Printing. Softcover. This book was issued in a Limited Edtion of 100 copies, of which this is #85. The limitation information is on the verso of the front cover and is SIGNED by the author, David L. Brown. Jack Lonshein (1926-2015) was a noted designer and illustrator of LP jackets that included many jazz musicians of the era. This book has a discography of his work and includes many photos on glossy stock of his work. There is no indication of the publisher, but it was "Distributed by Funkadelic Record Distribution of Philadelphia, PA" and was probably published by the author who spent a number of years on the project. Original glossy pictorial paper covers with a color illustration on the front and one in b&w on the rear. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. No longer in print, this is now quite scarce. ; Color Photographs; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 32 pages; Signed by Author .
