Former owner's inked name address and date on front free fly leaf, else a fine, bright, tight copy in dust jacket with light wear to spine ends and corners. In 1932 the film CONDEMNED TO DEATH, based on the novel and the play, JACK O' LANTERN, was directed by Walter Forde, and starred Arthur Wonter, Edmund Gwenn, George Harker, Gillian Lind, and Jane Welsh. Tobias Lantern, a condemned murderer, hypnotizes Judge Wallington who has sentenced him to death. Afterward, the judge goes about exterminating all those who were responsible for Lantern's conviction. Detective Inspector Wrench investigates the murders. Dust jacket art by "Gene."
