Penguin Books, 1940. Paperback. Acceptable. 1940. Penguin Reprint. 160 pages. Orange striped paper cover. Pages are heavily tanned with moderate foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Minor dog-eared corners, with liquid drops, rub marks and a few small nicks along text block edge. Cover has heavy shelf-wear to edges and surfaces, with curling to corners. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with visible reading creases down spine. Book is slightly bowed. Heavily tanned and mildly foxed.
Synopsis
Graham Greene (1904-1991) worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the foreign office. His many books include The Third Man , The Comedians and Travels with My Aunt . He is the subject of an acclaimed three-volume biography by Norman Sherry.
