From the blurb: "This important reference work brings together essential information about all the identifiable presses which functioned in Italy during the period 1501-1520. The arrangement is alphabetical by places of printing and by printers withing each place. The places number 49 and the presses 260. Each article contains a summary account of the career of the printer concerned and of the character and extent of his production. When a printer's signed works do not seriously exceed a dozen, his output is listed in full."
