Fine in full, black leather covered boards with four raised bands on the spine with gilt text and gilt decorations within the compartments and with gilt tool work on the front and rear boards. The end sheets are silk, there is a matching silk placement ribbon sewn in at the head of the spine. The edges of the text block are gilt. An octavo of 8 5/8 by 5 3/4 inches. 256 pages including an index, notes and references and text. A bright, clean and tight copy with absolutely no prior owner ship markings of any kind.
