Ashland, KY: Hanging Rock Press, 1974. 1st Edition. Paperback. Near Fine-Collectible. 6"x9" 110 pgs. Vanilla covers w/pic of "Old Bellefonte" furnace from Armco on front and back. Cover design by Thomas E. Clark, Jr. Frontispiece is map of Hanging Rock, OH area. Spine straight, binding tight, pages clean w/soft tone. Not x-library, unmarked, no DJ. 2 water drop stains to cover w/faint soiling. Secure ship w/track #. Employers of 1000s of local people. Explicit information on the Armco Steel Mill and local Iron Ore furnaces that were mined. From the Argillite Furnace, the first in the area in 1818, to Armco's Amanda furnace in 1962. Armco became AK Steel and dismantled during the early 2020s. All furnaces are unoperable w/just a few stones remaining. I myself was a third generation to work at Armco then becoming AK Steel (Armco Kawasaki merge).
