Original publisher's green leather with lavish gilt decor on boards and spine, gilt lettering on spine; raised bands. Gilt edges. Gilt dentelles. Marbled endpapers. Frontispiece engraving and engraved vignette on first title page. Title page with black frame. Illustrated with thirteen engravings from eminent artists. including H. Robinson, F. Holl, R. Wallis, L. Stocks and others. Poems commissioned to be set to music by the Irish composer John Stevenson (1761-1833). Some scuffing along edges of binding and hinges. Endpapers with some damp-staining. Light offsetting of frontispiece to title page.
