The Invention of Printing, A Series of Four Lectures Delivered in the Lent Term of 1897. scare copy, 175 pages with 15 full page illustrations all present, series of four lectures presented at Cambridge, detailed early history of printing, bound in a green binding with some wear, corners bumped and small tears to head and heel of spine, also small wear through or rear spine edge, the interior is near Fine, typical period foxing to preliminaries, text is bright and fresh as well as black and white plates from important ancient text. Top edge gilt, remaining uncut and nicely so, All and All a Very Good Plus or better First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
