Tokyo: University of Tokyo Press, 1989. Cloth. Very Good/Good. Light blue cloth in rice paper jacket. Houses in cream colored slipcase. Small, narrow folio. 221 pp. A few color illustrations at the front. Text in Japanese and English. A modern version of this classic of Japanese literature, written close to 1000 years ago, providing a depiction of the lives of high courtiers during the Heian period. GOOD jacket/slipcase on a VERY GOOD book. Minor toning, a few dark scuffs, and minor soiling to the slipcase. Jacket toned along the spine, with some chipping, creasing and minor tearing along the extremities. Light fading and edgewear to the book.
