Complete guide to the use & maintenance of the Intertype, "the simplest line-casting machine in the world," written for both the machinist & the mechanically unskilled operator. In 421 pages, well illustrated. A FIRST EDITION, first printing from 1929, NOT a modern reprint! Hardcover has blue cloth-covered boards with an embossed title box in gilt to front/faded gilt lettering to spine. Condition is Good: text block secure, though both front & rear hinges are cracked. Pages off white & unmarked, all diagrams & illustrations intact. Only real flaw is ink smudges throughout, obviously from someone using the book as they attempted to fix their machine! No DJ, as issued. Our photos depict the EXACT book you will receive from us--never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
