Mellon Foundation president (1933-2016) -- "For Bob Malott, / One of the real / leaders in both / the nonprofit and / for-profit sectors -- / with best wishes -- / Bill Bowen / May 1994." Robert Malott (1926-2018) was a noted Chicago civic/business leader, CEO of FMC Corporation, Republican politico and philanthropist -- and appears in a footnote in this book (p. 176).
