About This Item
Berkeley: Berkeley Poets' Workshop and Press, 1976. Second Edition.
INSCRIBED on the title page: "For Ted Weiss -- warmly, Alicia Ostriker." Theodore Weiss was a Princeton professor and, along with his wife, Renée Karol Weiss, the longtime editor and publisher of the legendary Quarterly Review of Literature. A nice literary association.
This is the second collection of poems by Alicia Ostriker (b. 1937), who was a professor of English at Rutgers University. Some of the poems deal with pregnancy and motherhood. Besides writing the poems, she also drew the cover image.
PHYSICAL DETAILS: Small Quarto (9 x 6 inches; 228 x 151 mm), unpaginated, in stapled, illustrated wrappers (soft cover).
CONDITION: Slight curling to bottom corner, ghost of sticker and evidence of water damage to rear cover, line marked out on copyright page, but otherwise clean and unmarked. About Very Good.
