INSCRIBED: "Professor E. B. Wilson with the regards of Chas B. Davenport" and with Wilson's ink stamp. 136 pp, 17 gravure photoplates of fowl. Davenport was a biologist and geneticist influential in the eugenics movement; Wilson was one of the most well known geneticists and zoologists of his time, author of the enormously influential textbook, "The Cell.
