Good. Hardcover. Three softcover publications bound together in one volume. Blank red boards with bumped and rubbed corners. Binding tight with uneven fore edge due to different sizes of reports. Soil on top edges, patterned endpapers. One front blank endpaper has content notes in pencil. The first report, Indian Games, has the red wrapper bound in. I. Indian Games: An Historical Research by Andrew McFarland Davis and inscribed by him on front wrap. Printed at the Salem Press, Salem, Massachusetts, 1886, 58 pages. Chips on a few pages, interior clean. II. Descriptive Catalogue of Photographs of North American Indians by W. H. Jackson, printed by the Government Printing Office, Washington, 1877, 124 pages. A few pencil markings. This is a US Geological Survey catalog of its collection of photographs by tribe, with brief descriptions of each people by photographer William Henry Jackson. Jackson was the survey photographer of US Geological Survey western expeditions for almost a decade. III. Portraits of North American Indians, with Sketches of Scenery, Etc. , printed in Washington by the Smithsonian Institution, 1852, 76 pages. Pages are creased, with some soil and dog-earring. Catalogues the portraits from 43 different tribes, painted by John Mix Stanley over a 10-year period. Many of Stanley's paintings were destroyed in a later fire at the Smithsonian. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author .
