Revised and enlarged 4th edition in gilt-stamped green cloth covers that show heavily bumped corners, considerable edgewear, surface soil/spotting, spine roll. Hinges cracked but all pages present and intact. Previous owners' names on front pastedown. No underlining or marginal notes, but some pages suffer from tears. A must for serious basket collectors because of the many photos of Southwest Indian baskets (and their makers) . Contents include basketry in indian legend, basketry in Indian ceremonies, materials and colors used, weaves or stitches, basket forms and design, symbolism and uses for baskets. ; .
