London: Swale Press Limited. Very Good with no dust jacket. [1965]. Softcover. White wraps, stapled, Laxman Pai painting reproduced on front cover, music segment offers full page on Bismallah Khan and most of a page on a very young Ravi Shankar. ; Oblong, 9" x 6"; 8 pp; Ravi Shankar [1920 - 2012] was a musician, best known for playing the sitar. The image of a young Shankar appearing within has also appeared in his album The Origins, in a Time Magazine article and elsewhere. The first Commonwealth Arts Festival was held in Great Britain in 1965. This brochure, promoting the artists of India, is quite uncommon with no copies located in libraries (through OCLC) or in the trade (July, 2020). ; Mild wear, a few faint spots, prior owners inscription fron New Delhi inside front cover. .
