New York: R. F. Fenno & Company, 1898. First Edition. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. First edition. Fair in decorative gilt-stamped blue cloth. Rubbing, soiling, and wear to boards and to darkened spine, spine cloth chipped and fraying to a depth of 1/8", corners exposed; front inner hinge is badly cracked and literally hanging by a single thread, bookplate on front pastedown, rear inner hinge has been repaired with old postal tape, pencil note on rear pastedown, ink stamp on title page and at least one other page, large chip to first page of last signature (does not interfere with text), occasional pencil emphases throughtout browned text. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
