Signed by Lin Yutang on a blank following the copyright page; former owner's penciled address above Yutang's signature and offsetting to that and the copyright page from a clipping formerly laid in. Bound in publisher's original black cloth stamped in red and gilt. Very Good with lean to binding, wear to extremities. Pages tanned. Former owner's penciled notations, old price and bookseller ticket to rear endsheet. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light wear at the extremities and light sunning to the spine. One of the influential Chinese author, inventor, philosopher and linguist's best-selling work; rare signed.
