Istituto Poligrafico dello Stato, 1956. Soft cover. Fair. 87 pages, with index, list of illustrations. Besides the 40-some b&w illustrations (photos of artifacts and art works) on plates, there is a two-page frontispiece diagram "General Plan of the Excavations" at the site in Sicily. First English Translation stated. Series: Guide-Books to the Museums and Monuments of Italy. Text runs through page 51, followed by plates on glossy stock. Small booklet (~5-3/8" x 7-5/16", 13 x 18.5 cm), light blue wraps, spine sunned, wraps soiled, wear includes 1/2" tear at crown, foxing to edges and first plate. Main defect is that p. 64 and 65 are stuck together near top, with ~1" diameter damage to two of the plates. Pencil marks in margin of approximately 15 of the text pages.
