Mandibulata volume 1. 1828. Nineteenth century marbled boards with modern cloth spine. Front blank and pastedown water stained with slight bleeding onto title page (see image). Many leaves uncut. Plates in excellent condition. Paginates: blank, iv, 184, (4), 9 plates. Complete. This set became famous for Darwin's contributions to later volumes. A very good copy.
