About This Item
Folio, newspaper, illustrated, 615-630 pp. Some chips, tears and folds at the edges and margins, front page a little darkened and browned, contents generally bright and clear; overall very good. The major article, which starts on the front page is the death of the Prince Consort (Prince Albert), he of course, was married to Queen Victoria. There are a number of wood engravings contained in this issue, including one of divers working on the Westminster Bridge. This is a relatively early depiction of diving equipment.
