Signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper: "For Loretta, who is all that an editor should be, if not a good deal more, with many thanks and warmest affections, Bill Barrett. 1/16/79." Loretta A. Barrett (no relation) was the Editor-in-Chief of Anchor Books and Executive Director for Doubleday. VERY GOOD in Very Good dust jacket protected in a removable archival cover. The book itself shows marginal shelf rubbing along the extremities, the top and fore-edge are somewhat dust spotted and darkened; in all other respects remains Fine/As New. The dust jacket shows marginal shelf rubbing of the extremities, a short closed tear and associated chip at the foot of the spine, otherwise is not price-clipped remaining bright, colorful, and distinct. As pictured.
