Macmillan & Co. Limited. London. 1906. Reprint of the 1904 Golden Treasury edition. 8vo. (6.4 x 4.2 inches). Engraved frontis illustration of Guinevere, from the marble by Thomas Woolmer, R.A. Finely bound in a contemporary full dark green morocco binding by Ramage of London. Spine with five raised bands, ruled in gilt. The compartments with gilt ruled lines, flower and star designs and lettering. Decorative flower and leaf designs to both boards, within a wavy line border which is surrounded by multiple stars, within a ruled line border, all in gilt. Elaborate gilt tooled stars, flowers and decorative roll borders to the inner boards with off-white moire silk endpapers. All edges gilt. Previous owners neat inscription, dated 1914, to the front blank free endpaper. Spine faded to an attractive tan colour and the front board to a lighter green but still a beautiful fine binding from the library of W. A. Foyle at Beeleigh Abbey, and with his burgundy morocco leather and gilt book plate to the front inner board.
