8vo. New York: Random House, 1931. 8vo., [1]-17, [1 colophon] pp., title-page printed in red and black. Original marbled paper boards with inlaid printed paper label to upper board, uncut, unopened. Remnants of the original glassine wrapper are still clinging to the boards, a fine copy that appears to have never been read. Signed by the author at the colophon. § First edition, number 248 of 400 copies signed by Faulkner. A short story based in southwest Arizona, hints of the love story that would become The Wild Psalms appear in this melodrama.
