(gift inscription dated 1928). 319 pp, 12mo (7 3/16" H), hard cover (orange cloth with black lettering and illustrations on spine and front board) - no dust jacket. B&w frontispiece. A public school mystery featuring the theft of The Gold Cup of Saint Moncreeth, the adventures of The Detective Clique and cricket. Moderate browning on endpapers, gift inscription on free front endpaper, book very slightly cocked, slight darkening to top of textblock, minor soiling to edges of textblock and on boards, very small bump to top corners of boards, very light edge wear, light wrinkling at top/bottom of spine. Good+.
