Illustrated throughout with frontispiece and twenty-one plates. Collated complete. A collection of wildlife sketches with notes on sparrows, hedgehogs, moles, rats, martins, owls, otters, and many more. Written by Edward William Dirom Cuming, an English author. Illustrated by William James Affleck Shepherd, an English illustrator known for his anthropomorphic animal cartoons and drawings. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. The odd small mark to the board. Original unclipped dust wrapper is sound with chipping to the extremities and a 5" closed tear to the front joint. Marks to the wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Very Good Indeed
