LONDON: WALKER BOOKS, 1992 Bottle Green paper covered boards with gilt titles to spine, 160pp. Colour Frontis illustration by Sendak of Publisher, Authors and himself and many colour and two tone illustrations by the late author in his inimitable and endearing style to accompany the many traditional childrens' parlour and playground rhymes first published by the Opies' in 1947 by Williams and Norgate. The copy offered for sale is a first printing of Walker's edition of 1992 with new illustrations by Sendak. VG/VG (Book- A little shelf rubbing to extremities of boards. No previous owner name or insc. and no other notable defects. Dust Jacket- a little colour rubbing to extremities and glue residue from a price sticker has attracted some soiling- not significant but worthy of mention, non price clipped - cover £9.99.
