SIGNED by the author, being warmly inscribed at the first free endpaper, "To Dwight Prouty III from Elizabeth French Fiske." A collection of "Indian captivity narratives" written by a woman related to Mr. Fiske and who lived amongst many different tribes of Apache on the mesas of Arizona. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound, internally clean hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, neat and tidy paste-downs; not ex-library, with neither highlighting nor underlining. Bound in bright red cloth covers, with black lettering to cover and spine, still sharp. Light blue printed dust jacket, showing moderate sunning, light soiling, protected by a plastic coat, not price-clipped. The original price of $2.50 is still present on the front flap at bottom. Commentary at end by F.H. Cushing excerpted from Edna Dean Proctor's Commentary on the Song of the Ancient People. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. [7], 8-163 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
