Offers a physical & psychoanalytical examination of Adolf Hitler, with revealing insights, based on his treatment of Adolf Hitler beginning in 1919. Written from his new home in New York City following his escape from Germany as he watched with horror as his former patient waged war in Europe & assembled his Nazi cult of personality around him, it is a most fascinating expose into the man behind the madness that was "der Fuehrer." Translated from the German, with a Foreword by author Upton Sinclair, Introduction by Otto Strasser, & Preface by K. Arvid Enlind, M.D. In 322 pages with glossy pictorial frontispiece. Orig. published in 1941 by Avalon, this is the FIRST AMERICAN EDITION from Biltmore from 1943. Hardcover 8vo (5.75" x 8.5") has red cloth over boards stamped with black lettering to spine. Condition is Fair: downgraded due to heavy exterior rubbing & edgewear, staining, front hinge cracked, binding was cracked & reglued. Light blue scribbling inside back cover, else, pages white, though lightly tanned, & completely unmarked. Some pages show evidence of insect damage (small holes to outer corners; soiled spots to fore edge.
