About This Item
HYMN TO LIFE, James Schuyler, Random House, 1974. 1st edition. One of the author s scarcest books. Poet of the New York School and frequent collaborator with John Ashbery and Frank O Hara, Schuyler was later awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1980 for The Morning of the Poem. Hardcover in grass-green quarter cloth, housed in an unclipped dust jacket, designed by the American painter and New York School documentarian and associate Fairfield Porter. Light bump and trace of sunning to cloth and chipping to top edge of jacket, else a near fine copy.
